I have had the pleasure of working with Ecowise for the past seven years. Since our school’s inception, Ecowise has partnered with us to deliver both day trips and residential trips for our primary students. These excursions have quickly become a cherished tradition. The Ecowise team, led by Adam Rose and Yenka Honig, consistently demonstrates a profound knowledge of the natural world and the region. They skillfully support our students in fostering connections with nature while also helping our teachers draw meaningful curricular links.
One of the hallmarks of Ecowise trips is the emphasis on reflection—encouraging students to consider their interactions with the environment and the positive choices they can make to protect it. Safety, thoughtful reflection, applying and developing knowledge, and the joyful exploration of the natural world are at the core of their programs. Our primary students are captivated during these trips, and it’s heartwarming to watch them engage with Adam and Yenka’s storytelling and guided explorations. Seeing the children in awe, full of wonder, and having fun while learning safely is incredibly rewarding for our teachers.
The residential trips offered for our fourth and fifth graders are a particularly enriching experience. These adventures provide our students with opportunities to lead, trek, and explore, all while building resilience and teamwork in the beautiful outdoors. Working with Ecowise has been a truly rewarding experience for our school, and I wholeheartedly recommend their services.
